The Hindu phrase “to do Sri Ganesha” is a synonym for launching an activity. This activity will be launched with a sculpture. It will be created by chiseling in limestone. A soft limestone will be used. The tools that are used will be a pointed chisel, a diamond saw, and a finer saw called a tooth chisel. A small three-dimensional model will first be made from clay and used as a guide for the final piece. Calipers need to be used to get the right detailed measurement from the model to the final work. Detail will be added to the final piece by using a toothed rondel for precise work.
